Position Summary
Responsible for collaborating with other health professionals in organizing, implementing and evaluating quality of patient care. Performs specific nursing duties within the scope of practice as stated in the Nurse Practice Act of Arkansas and the standards and expectations of the institutions, as supported by the mission, vision, and core values of the organization.
Education
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
Currently licensed (unrestricted) in the State of Arkansas or a compact state
In addition to the basic RN job description, the ED nurse will also work under this ED nurse addendum as well.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The ED Nurse shall be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and currently licensed by the AR State Board of Nursing or compact state. He/she must exhibit the ability to plan, supervise, and evaluate nursing care during stressful emergency conditions.
Work Experience: Minimum 1-year emergency nursing (or paramedic) experience preferred
Specific experience:
BLS required
ACLS required
PALS and TNCC required for full time employees within 6 months of hire; preferred for PRN employees
NRP preferred
