Position Summary
The Phlebotomist’s primary responsibility is to collect and to process blood/blood specimens necessary for diagnostic testing purposes. This individual must be able to interact with patients, physicians and other hospital personnel in a courteous manner, participate in the orientation of new phlebotomy personnel, promotes teamwork, positive attitude, initiative, and professionalism in accordance to the mission, vision and values of Chicot Memorial Medical Center.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent.
Work Experience
A minimum of one years experience in a hospital or clinic-based laboratory preferred.
Required License/Certification
ASCP registry or equivalent.
